The rise of Hitler's vampire legion…

On 2nd May 2011 THE BLOOD REICH: BLOODRAYNE 3 hits UK DVD. It's prolific director Uwe Boll's second sequel in his popular BLOODRAYNE horror series.

The year is 1943 and on the Eastern Front, a small band of Resistance fighters stand firm against the seemingly endless manpower of German army, headed by the vicious Commandant.
Meanwhile, a psychotic Doctor performs grisly experiments on people in the camps – and has a strange affinity for cutting open vampires, when he can get his hands on one.
And where there are vampires, there’s Rayne, a half-vampire, half-human who has moved through the centuries slaughtering blood-suckers and those that keep to the shadows alike.
After a bloody face off, the Commandant becomes infected by Rayne’s blood and, unbeknownst to her, begins a horrifying transformation into a powerful day-walking vampire.
Rayne must now face her greatest foe: a growing army of undead soldiers led by the Commandant, hell-bent on returning to Berlin where they intend to make The Fuhrer immortal…

Special Features on the DVD include: The Making of Bloodrayne 3, Writer's Featurette and Director's Commentary.

On 18th April 2011 the German supernatural thriller THE DOOR is released onto UK DVD.

THE DOOR (Die Tür) is a dark fantasy-thriller centering on a broken man, given a second chance at life following a tragic accident. David Andernach (Mads Mikkelsen - Casino Royale, Valhalla Rising, Clash of The Titans) seemingly had it all; a successful painter with a wealthy home in the suburbs, a devoted wife Maja (Jessica Schwarz - Perfume: The Story of a murderer) and a beautiful young daughter, Leonie (Valeria Eisenbart). But one summer’s day, instead of taking Leonie on a trip into the forest to catch butterflies, he stays behind to wile away the afternoon with his mistress Gia (Heike Makatsch - Resident Evil, Love Actually). Returning, he finds that Leonie has drowned after falling into the family pool. We meet David again five years later, shabby, divorced, and not having painted in years. But after being driven by guilt to try to drown himself in the very same pool, he’s led by a butterfly to a hidden tunnel that opens onto the very day Leonie died. However David’s joy at what initially appears to be a chance for redemption soon fades as it dawns everything in the past is not as it seems. Playing out in the vein of a Greek tragedy, THE DOOR is both an accomplished supernatural thriller and a dark moral fable, adapted from the 2001 novel “Die Damalstuer” by Akif Pirinçci, widely regarded as Germany’s Stephen King.

Extras: interviews with director, cast & producers / 12 deleted/alternate scenes / trailer.

On 18th April 2011 Oliver Stone's sensational bio-pic of THE DOORS is released on UK Blu-ray as a stunning 20th Anniversary Special Edition.

2011 marks the 40th Anniversary of the death of legendary Doors front man Jim Morrison. With their legend intact and music as popular as ever, THE DOORS has been restored and is released here for the first time on Blu-ray. Oliver Stone’s epic portrayal of the hugely influential 1960's rock band and its charismatic, controversial lead singer and composer, Jim Morrison, features Val Kilmer in a career-defining role and also stars Meg Ryan, Kyle MacLachlan, Billy Idol and Michael Madsen. Featuring music from The Doors themselves and electrifying recreations of their most infamous on-stage performances, Stone captures perfectly the tumultuous, psychedelic journey of one of the late 60s most exciting and influential bands.

The Doors were a distillation of their time. The music they made was raw yet poetic, angry yet seductive. The stage show at its best was dramatic, brilliant theatre – artistic expression transcending all form. Jim Morrison’s sensual stage presence, charged with strength and energy, capable of projecting a sense of danger, spoke to young audiences’ fantasies and became a catalyst for an era. Their songs have kept The Doors in that rare pantheon of groups whose music evokes the memory of the turbulent ‘60’s and continues to make fans not only of those who lived during that time but also of following generations as well.

Extras: Jim Morrison: a poet in Paris, Back to the roots.
